   Ingredients :
8 bread slices (day old)
2 eggs, well beaten
cup milk
Black pepper
3 tablespoons butter
4 ham slices
4 cheese slices (American, Swiss or brick)
4 slices of chicken or turkey


Add milk and pepper to beaten eggs.

Butter bread, cover half of slices with ham, chicken and cheese. Top with another slice of bread and press tightly together. Dip in egg and milk mixture and fry in butter until golden brown on both sides.

Drain on absorbent paper and serve hot with jam or jelly.

Yields: 4 sandwiches
