   Ingredients :
2 cups water
5 oz (150 g) semolina
3 oz (100 g) bacon cut in small cubes
cup butter
cup grated parmesan cheese

Herb Butter:
cup butter
1 garlic clove, finely chopped
2 tablespoons chopped herbs (tarragon, marjoram, thyme, sage)


Brown bacon cubes in a skillet. Drain in paper towel. Reserve.

Bring salted water to a boil. Gradually, while boiling, add semolina stirring constantly. Add bacon and combine well. Remove from heat and pour preparation into a jelly roll pan. Spread mixture evenly inch (1 cm) thick. Allow cooling.

With a 2 2 -inch (4 5 cm) round cutter cut circles and carefully transfer them to a rectangular greased serving dish, overlapping them slightly. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese.

Herb Butter:
Melt butter in a skillet and add garlic and herbs. Combine well. Remove from heat and pour over gnocchi.

Bake in preheated oven 400 F (200 C) during 10 12 minutes until they are hot.

Serve immediately.
