    PORK TENDERLOIN ORIENTAL STYLE     

   Ingredients :
 
2 pork tenderloins, trimmed
2 ˝ tablespoons Chinese five spice powder
1 tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon ground black pepper
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
2/3 cup Chinese plum sauce
3 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons tomato paste
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoons rice vinegar
1 ˝ tablespoons fresh ginger, finely chopped
2 tablespoons pineapple juice
2 teaspoon chili garlic sauce
Chives for decoration

   Preparation:

Combine five spice powder with salt and pepper and rub well pork tenderloins.
Heat oil in a ovenproof skillet and sear pork tenderloins on all sides over medium heat until browned.
Combine Plum Sauce with honey, tomato paste, soy sauce, vinegar, ginger, pineapple juice and chili garlic sauce in a sauce pan and simmer for 1 minute. Pour sauce over pork and transfer pan to oven, preheated to 400°F (200°) for 25 minutes or until tenderloins are cooked and juicy. Remove pan from the oven and rest for 10 minutes before cutting.

To serve, cut tenderloins in medium thick diagonal slices, serve with sauce and garnish with chives.
