| Vegetable related to both garlic and onion though its flavor and fragrance is mild and more subtle. Looks like a big scallion with a thick white cylindrical stalk with a bulbous root end. The smaller the leek, the more tender it will be. Leeks can be chopped and used in salads, soups and many other dishes. |
