HEARTS OF PALM AND CREAM CHEESE FOR APPETIZERS
Ingredients :
12 oz (330 g) cream cheese
2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
4 hearts of palm, finely chopped
2 tablespoon butter, at room temperature
2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese, to broil
Preparation:
Have all ingredients at room temperature. Combine first 4 ingredients thoroughly.
Pour mixture into 1 or 2 ovenproof ramekins. Sprinkle parmesan over. Before serving, broil until warm and golden.
Serve with melba toasts or toasted pita bread triangles.
Yields: Approximately 1 ¾ cup
