POTATO GRATIN   
  Ingredients :
    3 lb (1 ½ k) white potatoes
    2 cups cream
    2 cups milk
    1 teaspoon nutmeg
    2 garlic cloves
    ½ cup parmesan cheese, grated
    Salt
    Pepper

  Preparation:

Peel potatoes and cut in thin slices. Dont rinse.

Place garlic, nutmeg, milk and cream in a medium size pan and bring to a boil.

Add potatoes, folding carefully. Lower heat and continue cooking until milk turns creamy and thick. Add cheese and season to taste.

Layer the potatoes in a greased baking mold and bake in oven 190° C (380° F) for 1 hour or until potatoes are cooked.
