ARABIC RICE   
  Ingredients :
    2 cups rice
    1 teaspoon vegetable oil
    2 tablespoons butter
    ½ cup angel hair pasta cut into 3/4” (1 ½ cm) pieces
    1 teaspoon garlic, minced
    1 chicken or beef bouillon cube
    Salt
    Pepper
    5 ½ oz (150 g) raisins
    Parsley, finely chopped

  Preparation:

Melt butter and oil in a saucepan. Add angel hair and stir until golden. Stir in garlic, salt, pepper, rice and bouillon cube. Cook, stirring, until bouillon cube is dissolved and rice is coated with the butter (approximately 2 minutes). Add raisins, mix and boiling water to cover (approximately 2 ½ cups). Mix well, cover saucepan and lower heat. Cook over low heat for 18 – 20 minutes or until rice is done. Remove from the heat and mix with chopped parsley.
