DANICA´S BUTTER COOKIES   
  Ingredients :
    1 cup sugar
    1 cup butter (200 g / 8 oz)
    1 egg
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    2 teaspoons baking powder
    3 cups flour

  Preparation:

Preheat oven to 400ºF (200ºC).
Beat butter with sugar until creamy and fluffly. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Gradually, add baking power and 2 ½ cups flour. Remove bowl from the mixer and fold in remaining flour. Divide dough in half and roll out one half in a floured surface. Do not refrigerate.
Cut cookies in the desired shapes flouring cutters. Transfer to a previously greased cookie sheet or a silicone pad.
Bake in the oven 6 - 10 minutes or until slightly golden.
Cool on a rack and keep in an airtight container.
