Steam cook fresh salmon for 8 minutes or until cooked. Cool.
Place smoked salmon or trout with butter in the food processor until smooth. Add yogurt, lemon juice, green onion and process again. Season with salt, pepper and drops of Tabasco. Set aside. Cut fresh, cooked salmon in strips, add to smoked salmon mixture and combine.
Transfer mixture to bowl or terrine and refrigerate for 1 hour.
Serve with melba toasts.
